I have somewhat wavy, somewhat frizzy hair and despite my best efforts I could never get it to lie flat and smooth despite fervent blowdrying, brushing, gels and hair serums. I finally asked my hairdresser, who always only put one product in my hair, how he got it to look that way, and he suggested I get a Babyliss or a CHI hairdryer. The CHIs were signifantly more expensive and although this one wasn't cheap, I decided it would be worth the investment if it worked. Well, it was more than worth it. My hair, that is halfway down my back, can now be smooth, shiny, and silky within 15 minutes with only a very minimal amount of anti-frizz serum. I love this hairdryer. It completely did away with bad hair days. And I even went through a time when I blew my hair dry every single day for weeks and weeks with no split ends, no scorched hairs, nothing. It's a miracle-worker!

Bought this one for my wife. She loves it and says it is light weight powerful and has all the needed options. Her hand doesn't get tired of holding it and being able to get WARM air without pushing a button is great. This thing dries really fast but leaves your hair feeling soft.

This hair dryer arrived 3 days ago, and I must say I am in love! I needed a hair dryer to replace my babyliss 2000 hair dryer.I wanted to upgrade to a tourmaline dryer, but wanted the power of my old babyliss (2000 watts). So, after much research, I bought the 5586N.

This dryer is much lighter than my previous babyliss, and although it only has 1900 watts, i feel itgets just as hot, if not hotter, than my old 2000 watt babyliss...go figure!

As far as longevity, I have only had my dryer a few days, so no opinion yet, as only time will tell.

But for right now, I absolutely love it. Hair is shiny (like my old dryer), but it is much lighter, and the tourmaline technology allows for a less damaging blow dry experience. I also love the concentrator nozzle as it is much small smaller than most other nozzles, therefore you can specifically target the area you wish to blowdry with greater accuracy. I love it!

According to my wife, this professional hairdryer is well worth the extra expense. It is quiet, powerful and light weight too. Wish I'd had this years ago.
